Murray: I proved a point

British number one Andy Murray felt he had a point to prove in his second-round clash with Argentinian Jose Acasuso at the French Open.

Murray raced to a 6-4 6-0 6-4 win to put his first-round struggle with wild card Jonathan Eysseric behind him.

"I still feel I'm getting questioned as to why I'm not doing better (on clay)," said Murray. "Acasuso might not be a Federer, Djokovic or Nadal but I went out and played great. To win against him in straight sets, not lose serve and break five, six times - it doesn't happen too often."

Murray will next face Spain's Nicolas Almagro, 22, who has reached the second round at Roland Garros for the past three years.

"I put him in there with the top players on clay - I think he can play great," said Murray.

"He's got a big serve, a big game. Doesn't move particularly well but he plays very aggressively and dominates the majority of his points.

"But I want to make the second week, that's my goal."
