New contract for Lynch

Bradford prop Andy Lynch has signed a new three-year contract with the Bulls that will keep him at the Grattan Stadium until the end of the 2012 season.

The 30-year-old Lynch, who has made 135 appearances since joining the Bulls from Castleford at the end of the 2004 season, was out of contract at the end of the year and had been linked with a return to his old club, as well as Wigan and Hull.

Bradford coach Steve McNamara said: "This is a fantastic retention for the club. Andy Lynch's form has been superb ever since he joined Bradford Bulls and he has probably been the most consistent player we've had over that time."

He added: "A player of Andy's stature and his performances since he joined this organisation in 2005 is everything we want a Bull to be.

"We're delighted he is staying with us for what we believe will be his best years still in front of him."

Lynch missed the start of the season after undergoing neck surgery, which also ruled him out of contention for the World Cup, but has started his club's last 12 matches and captained the team in the absence of Paul Deacon.
