New deal for Wainwright

Castleford winger Michael Wainwright has signed a new one-year contract.

Wainwright was named the club's coaches' player of the year at the end of a campaign which saw Tigers finish bottom of the engage Super League.

He said: "I'm very pleased that things have been sorted out, I have enjoyed my two years at the Tigers and always wanted to stay."

He added: "The club are bringing in a lot of good new players and I'm really looking forward to next season."

Castleford coach Terry Matterson said: "I am personally very pleased that Michael is staying with us and look forward to continuing to work with him. He is an enthusiastic and committed player and a really popular member of the squad."
