New Quins deal for Ward

Former Leeds forward Danny Ward has become the seventh Harlequins player to sign a new contract.

The 29-year-old prop, who joined the club from Castleford 18 months ago, was out of contract at the end of the season but has now penned a new 12-month deal.

"There was never a question of me wanting to go anywhere else so, when the club offered me a new contract, I was delighted to sign it," he said.

"I'm happy down here at Quins, they're a great bunch of lads and I can't see myself playing anywhere else."

Harlequins coach Brian McDermott added: "Danny is a player who you could describe as he does what it says on the tin, he goes out there and performs. He is Mr Consistent."
