Newton signs new deal

Hull KR back-row forward Clint Newton has signed a new four-year contract which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2013 season.

The 27-year-old, whose initial two-year deal was due to run out at the end of this season, believes he can add the Super League title to his NRL Grand Final success with Melbourne Storm.

"There is no other team I want to play for," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "I have no desire to go back and play in the NRL because there is something special happening here at Rovers and I want to be a part of it."

He added: "I said when I first signed for Rovers that I wanted to take them back to the glory days and I have a great opportunity to do that with this current group."

Hull KR have taken five points from a possible eight so far this season and will look to make it three wins in a row for the first time in Super League when Celtic Crusaders visit Craven Park on Sunday.
