No Blues deal for Malouda, say Lyon

Lyon have rejected suggestions they have already agreed to sell Florent Malouda to Chelsea.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the France winger, who has already indicated he wants to quit Stade Gerland.

Chelsea were reportedly on the brink of a deal with Lyon but the French club's head of communications, Olivier Blanc, insists an agreement has not been reached, saying: "Contrary to what I've heard, there is no agreement with Chelsea about Malouda, and absolutely nothing about a swap deal with Lassana Diarra we turned down a fortnight ago."

Meanwhile, Chelsea have threatened legal action against European newspapers over quotes attributed to Mourinho concerning Andriy Shevchenko's wife.

Mourinho was quoted widely in Europe talking about the role Shevchenko's wife could play in his future.

But Chelsea and Mourinho have made it clear he did not give any interviews to foreign media about the subject.

A spokesman insisted on Tuesday night: "The manager has not given any interviews to any media outlets on the subject and the club and Jose Mourinho are now considering legal action."
