Milan, the 2005 finalists, set-up their last four meeting with the Red Devils following their 2-0 away win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday, which secured a 4-2 aggregate triumph for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Oddo said: "Our objective is not going to be to vindicate Roma. We will look to play for ourselves and I personally will be trying to help my team get a good result and get into the final."
Former Lazio full-back Oddo, who moved to the San Siro at the end of the January transfer window, was also adamant United's 7-1 victory at Old Trafford on Tuesday night was not a true indication of the strength of Serie A sides.
"That game started unfortunately for Roma and just got worse and worse," Oddo added. "These types of games happen from time to time, it was just a shame that it happened in a Champions League quarter-final.
"We all know that it was not the real Roma out there."
Milan make the trip to Old Trafford on April 24 before welcoming United to the San Siro a week later.
Oddo said: "We are going to have to play two great games and be at our very best for 180 minutes.
"There will be no favourite, the chances are 50-50."
