Ohuruogu added to GB squad

Ohuruogu has been named for both the individual 400metres and the 4x400 relay despite not having raced since July 27 last year. She had been training, however, in preparation for the championships in Osaka.
"Christine is a world-class athlete who we are happy to select now that she has completed her suspension," said UK Athletics performance director Dave Collins. "I hope she is now given the room to allow her to get herself back into peak race condition."
Ohuruogu, 23, was banned for a year after missing three out-of-competition drugs tests, but will now join pre-selected European indoor champion Nicola Sanders and Lee McConnell in the 400m, the latter having last week decided not to contest the 400m hurdles.
Tim Benjamin has been added to the men's 400m list after proving his fitness when running his fastest time for two years in last Friday's Norwich Union London Grand Prix.
He will compete alongside last year's world junior bronze medallist Martyn Rooney and Andy Steele, winner of the official trial race in Manchester.
The selectors have preferred Becky Lyne for the remaining 800m slot ahead of Jenny Meadows, who has beaten her twice over the distance at recent IAAF Grand Prix events.
Clearly they are banking on the experience of last summer's European bronze medallist, who showed in London she is recovered from a calf injury.
Mark Lewis-Francis, who also ran well at Crystal Palace, has been given the remaining 100m slot but there is no place in the team for his fellow Olympic 4x100m relay gold medallist Jason Gardener.
However, former world junior champion Christian Malcolm has been included and his fitness will be monitored at the UK Athletics holding camp in Macau from August 10-22.
