Pakistan hold on for draw

Pakistan lost seven wickets in the final session of the third Test in Bangalore but India then ran out of time in their bid to clinch a dramatic win and were forced to settle for a draw.

The hosts, who edged the series 1-0 thanks to their opening-Test triumph, looked to have left their declaration too late to force the win after moving onto 284 for six on Wednesday before requiring the tourists to bat again.

Chasing an unlikely victory target of 374, Pakistan crumbled to 162 for seven after tea before bad light brought a premature end to proceedings.
