Paul pens new Quins deal

Henry Paul has signed a one-year extension with Harlequins Rugby League.

Paul, 33, joined Quins midway through the 2006 season and will now play at the Twickenham Stoop until the end of the 2008 campaign.

Stand-off Paul said: "I am glad that Mac (head coach Brian McDermott) and all the coaching staff and management have shown their confidence in me and offered me another year. It's probably going to be my last season so I hope to make it a big one."

McDermott added: "People like Henry Paul don't come along every day. We are really excited to have signed him for another year. He's been the cornerstone of our pack this season no matter what position he's been playing.

"He's one of those people that every club needs."
