Paul returns to union with Leeds

Former England international Henry Paul has agreed a return to rugby union after signing a two-year deal with relegated Guinness Premiership side Leeds Carnegie.

Paul, 34, will move to Headingley from rugby league side Harlequins at the end of the current engage Super League season.

Paul, who played 24 times for New Zealand in rugby league before switching codes, returned to the 13-man game two years ago after a spell with union side Gloucester, during which he won six England caps.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of helping the club get back into the Guinness Premiership next season," said Paul.

"I always said it was my intention to finish playing rugby league this summer and by coming home this is a great way to finish my career."
