Peacock concern for England

England have a potential disciplinary worry hanging over captain Jamie Peacock ahead of Saturday's Gillette Fusion international against France.

The Leeds front rower was punished for a high tackle on Catalans Dragons skipper Greg Bird during the Rhinos' 32-30 engage Super League defeat in Perpignan on Saturday night.

Peacock was not placed on report by referee Steve Ganson but the incident will be scrutinised by the Rugby Football League's match review panel on Monday, just before the England squad set off for Paris.

If the panel decide to press a charge, Peacock would technically have to face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, even though he will be in France, and it is likely that Leeds would represent him in his absence.

England coach Tony Smith, meanwhile, will hold a roll call of his 19-man squad on Monday morning following a full programme of Super League matches over the weekend.

He has a list of potential stand-by players in case of injury and it is thought he may be forced into making at least one change.
