Pedrosa claims home triumph

Spaniard Dani Pedrosa won his home race on the Repsol Honda as MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner suffered a day to forget at Jerez.

Pedrosa won from Fiat Yamaha team-mates Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo as Stoner twice went off course into the gravel traps but recovered to finish 11th on the Marlboro Ducati.

Britain's James Toseland shook off the effects of a heavy cold to claim sixth on the Tech 3 Yamaha.

Pedrosa now heads the overall standings ahead of Lorenzo, Rossi and Stoner with Toseland in sixth.
