Perry's new deal

England scrum-half Shaun Perry has signed a new three-year contract with Bristol.

Perry, 29, has 14 caps for his country but has fallen behind in head coach Brian Ashton's pecking order - with Andy Gomarsall and then Richard Wigglesworth starting at nine during the RBS 6 Nations.

Bristol Rugby head coach Richard Hill said: "Shaun has quickly become a hugely important player to this club. He's only played in the Guinness Premiership for three seasons now but has established himself as one of the top players in his position and has developed into a real leader for us."

He added: "As Bristol Rugby looks to move forward, Shaun is one of the players around whom we wish to build the club - and I'm delighted he has committed himself to the cause."

Perry said: "I'm really happy to have put pen to paper. Bristol have been good to me over the past few seasons and I feel that working with Richard Hill has helped me take my game to a new level.

"Bristol's my home now and Bristol is my club, and I want to play my part in taking us forward."
