The 34-year-old was crowned as the top star outside the top flight at the Football League awards after hitting 17 goals for Tony Mowbray's side this season.
Albion lie in fourth place after Saturday's 3-0 win over Plymouth, and Phillips admits promotion is the only thing on his mind, saying: "Of course I want another crack at the Premier League. I still feel that I can do a job but promotion would mean everything to this club."
He continued: "Financially it would be tremendous and the fans deserve to see us in the top flight again. There are bound to be a few twists and turns yet and I am confident that it will go down to the last game before anything is decided."
Under Mowbray, Albion have become the most potent attacking force in the Football League - having scored 70 goals so far this season.
But Phillips insists his side need to improve their defensive record if they are to win promotion back to the Premier League.
He said: "A lot of credit must go to my team-mates and the manager for creating the chances as we are a team that scores a lot of goals.
"We have scored more than anyone in the whole league and that goes to show that we are an exciting team to watch and you are guaranteed goals if you come and watch us. It has given me a new lease of life and I enjoy playing with this set of lads."
Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford was named the best player in League One as well as being handed the award for goal of the year for his stunning individual effort while on loan at Scunthorpe.
MK Dons captain Keith Andrews was named as the best player in League Two while Wolves winger Michael Kightly picked up the young player award.
