Pirlo staying put

Chelsea target Andrea Pirlo will honour his contract with AC Milan, according to his agent.

The Italian midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, and AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi claimed recently he will consider offers for Pirlo.

But Pirlo's agent Tullio Tinti told Gazzetta dello Sport: "We are not worried by Berlusconi's comment. Pirlo is a Milan player. He is under contract and he honours contracts."

The 30-year-old is under contract with AC Milan until June 2012.

The World Cup winner made 26 league appearances as the Rossoneri finished third in Serie A last season.
