Play halted in Colombo

Play in the fourth one-day international between Sri Lanka and India was suspended when India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni took his players off the pitch after an object was thrown at one of his players from a member of the crowd at the Premadasa Stadium.

Sri Lanka were 107 for two in the 18th over of their reply to India's total of 332 when Dhoni decided to withdraw his players from the field following the incident.

Earlier in the day, Muttiah Muralitharan picked up the wicket of Gautam Gambhir for 150, his 503rd in one-day internationals, to break Wasim Akram's record and become the leading ODI wicket-taker of all time.
