Poor start costs Wales

They came from 17-9 down to beat Canada 42-17 in their opening match but Wales coach Gareth Jenkins admitted his side gave themselves too much to do against the Wallabies after conceding three tries before half-time.
"We played the second-best team in world rugby," said Jenkins. "We feel we are capable of competing against any team. We're just not settling as quickly as we need to. It's taking us until half-time to be competitive."
He added: "They played some great rugby in the first half and set a task too far for us.
"I am proud of the response in the second half. We proved to ourselves that we have something to offer this tournament. We realise the magnitude of our next two games.
"There are lessons that we can learn from this game."
Jenkins was forced to reshuffle his back division after losing captain Gareth Thomas with a shoulder injury and centre Sonny Parker with injuries to his calf and thigh inside the opening quarter.
"We lost two key players within 20 minutes," said Jenkins. "They were two injuries we could have definitely done without.
"I don't think they were hugely significant. There will need to be x-rays and medical opinion and it will be Sunday before we know any more."
