Potters move for Sorensen

Stoke are hoping to complete a deal for Denmark international goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

The 32-year-old has been on trial with the Potters and is available on a free transfer after being released by Aston Villa at the end of last season.

"The agent's coming in to speak to Tony (Scholes, chief executive) on Wednesday and hopefully we'll conclude a deal," City boss Tony Pulis said.

"I think that the signings that we've made so far, and hopefully we can get Thomas, are good signings.

"I think they'll all improve the team and we've got to get players who will come in and do that, not just be squad players."
