A morning inspection at Fratton Park ruled the surface unplayable early on Saturday, while a verdict from Craven Cottage was announced at around 1.30pm when Referee Rob Styles deemed a small area of the pitch unplayable and decided a postponement was the only option.
The Football League programme was also hit hard by the freezing conditions.
Nigel Clough will also have to wait for his first match in charge of Derby as their Ninian Park match with Cardiff was called off after a noon pitch inspection. Elsewhere in the Championship, Birmingham's trip to Blackpool, Plymouth's meeting with Crystal Palace and Doncaster against Bristol City all fell victim.
In League One, Yeovil's trip to Bristol Rovers was another morning casualty along with Walsall's match with Brighton and Oldham against Hartlepool. Scunthorpe's meeting with Hereford also failed to survive the frost.
In League Two, the games between Accrington and Darlington, Shrewsbury and Chester, Grimsby and Morecambe, Chesterfield and Rochdale and Macclesfield and Port Vale all went after early Saturday inspections.
Friday saw eight Football League matches postponed with the League One games at Swindon, Southend, Millwall and Peterborough and League Two contests at Dagenham and Redbridge, Bournemouth, Luton and Gillingham all frozen off.
In Scotland, Inverurie Locos' Scottish Cup tie against Motherwell also went on Friday, while St Mirren's clash at Brechin was called off on Saturday.
