Prior and Bopara miss out for England

Needing seven wickets at Riverside to regain the Wisden Trophy 2-0, England learned Prior and Bopara would be sitting out proceedings as precautions over the respective finger and knee injuries they suffered on Sunday.
Paul Collingwood, who deputised for Prior behind the stumps in the evening session, was again expected to take the gloves.
England had announced Prior would be fit to keep wicket, after x-rays showed the third finger on his right hand was not broken.
Medical staff had a rethink, however, advising it would be unwise to risk the injury to a finger he did fracture in 2007.
The swelling in Bopara's right knee was also thought serious enough for him to be kept out of the action, with a three-match NatWest Series against West Indies due to start at Headingley on Thursday.
An England spokesman confirmed there are no concerns about either Prior or Bopara being fit for the first of those one-day internationals.
West Indies, meanwhile, needed to bat out most of Monday to have a chance of salvaging only a 1-0 series loss.
They were 115 for three following on at stumps, still 144 runs short of making England bat again.
