Pryce: We must keep feet on ground

England warmed up for the World Cup in impressive fashion with a 56-8 rout of the disappointing French in Toulouse but Pryce knows there will be far bigger tests to come in Australia.
"The most stupid thing we can do is get too far ahead of ourselves," said Pryce, who was man of the match at the Ernest Wallon Stadium on Friday night.
"We've got to remember where we're going and who we're playing against. A mid-season Test against France will send no message to Australia whatsoever.
"We've got to keep our heads down and work hard and not get too giddy with a 50-odd points win against France because there are three or four months to go and we could pick up injuries.
"It is going to be 10 times tougher playing against Australia on their home turf so, whilst we remain confident in the camp, we can't get ahead of ourselves."
Pryce got the nod for the number six jersey ahead of Leeds stand-off Danny McGuire and responded with an accomplished performance as England swept aside the fading French with seven second-half tries.
Pryce set the ball rolling with the first of his side's 10 tries while Warrington centre Martin Gleeson bounced back to his best with a first-ever hat-trick.
"We had a tough test in the first half but we knew, if got a bit of ball in the second half, we would be okay," he said.
"It was a bit surprised I got the man-of-the-match award - Gleese did very well and got a hat-trick - but I will always accept it."
