The 38-strong entourage - which includes 13 of the original Test party and 10 performance squad members - were due to head to nets at 9.30am, but their departure was put back to 1pm, in the hope the run-ups at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium would be fit for practice in the middle.

Hugh Morris, managing director of England cricket, and Sean Morris, chief executive of the Professional Cricketers' Association, accompanied the touring party here, then travelled on to India to make security assessments for the first Test venue and will return here on Sunday evening.
