Ramsey handed Wales call-up

Arsenal youngster Aaron Ramsey is the only uncapped player in Wales boss John Toshack's squad for their away friendly against Denmark on November 19.

Toshack named a squad of 21 for the trip to Copenhagen, which also sees a recall from under-21 duty for Oldham full-back Neal Eardley, who captained the young Welsh side in their recent UEFA Championship play-off defeat by England.

Cardiff's Joe Ledley, who missed the two recent World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Liechtenstein with a groin problem, also returns.

Nottingham Forest's Robert Earnshaw was in the provisional squad, but the striker has a hamstring injury and did not figure for the midlanders at the weekend and has been omitted from the party.

Toshack has also left out strikers David Cotterill and Freddy Eastwood, goalkeeper Lewis Price and midfielders Owain Tudur-Jones and Andrew Crofts.

Veteran midfielder Carl Robinson has also been omitted. His club, Major League Soccer side Toronto FC, are in their close season and he is not considered to be fit enough for the international.

Robinson is back home in Wales, and has been doing some radio and television work, but it is believed he has been assured that he will be back in the squad for the next two World Cup qualifiers against Finland and Germany in Cardiff next March.
