Reardon leaves Wolves

Former Great Britain player Stuart Reardon has left Warrington, the club have announced.

Reardon has been told to expect a prison sentence after admitting assault along with Leon Pryce of St Helens and England.

Wolves full-back Reardon was charged with assaulting his wife at a house in Bradford last year, while stand-off Pryce was charged with assaulting a man at the same address.

The pair were given conditional bail and will return to court to be sentenced on April 23.

However, the Super League club on Thursday released a short statement on their official website, www.warringtonwolves.org, saying: "With immediate effect Stuart Reardon has left the club."
