Redknapp hails 'old-fashioned' Davies

The club captain scored his third goal of the season in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham at the Reebok Stadium. It was just reward for the 32-year-old after another typically tenacious and industrious performance.
Tottenham boss Redknapp said: "Kevin Davies is always a threat. He messes people around. He is so difficult to play against. He is like an old-fashioned centre forward to my mind."
Bolton manager Gary Megson said: "If you play the kind of football Kevin thrives on, he is a huge threat."
Bolton got off to a perfect start with Ricardo Gardner opening the scoring in the third minute after Lee Chung-Yong's effort had been parried.
It looked bleak for Tottenham given they have never won a league match at the ground in nine attempts but they regrouped and equalised through Niko Kranjcar.
Bolton responded through Davies's header at the back post with Lee again involved in the build up, only for Vedran Corluka to secure a point for the visitors.
Peter Crouch scorned a glorious chance in front of goal a minute before Corluka's equaliser and Redknapp said: "He should have scored but the keeper has performed a miracle.
"To come back twice was fine. Obviously you want to pick three points up but when we were 2-1 down I would certainly have taken a point.
"We deserved a draw. They started brightly while we were slow getting going. But we came back strongly."
