Reo-Coker eyes England role

Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has set himself an ambitious new year's resolution - to force his way into Fabio Capello's England side.

Despite playing regularly for the under-21s, the 23-year-old is yet to feature for the senior side.

"My Christmas wish would have to be an England call-up," he told The Sun. "I would love to make my England debut and I would be very happy if I got that opportunity."

He added: "I still do want to play for my country and I hope I don't get overlooked and people don't forget about me."
