Robinho will stay - Cook

Robinho will remain with Manchester City next season, according to chief executive Garry Cook.

The club's record signing has been linked with a return to Spain and a move to Champions League winners Barcelona.

However Cook told www.mcfc.co.uk: "Robinho has always been a highly valued member of our team and that continues to be the case. Reports suggesting he will leave the club, either on loan or on a permanent deal, are absolutely untrue."

Robinho scored 15 goals in his debut season for City following his £32.5million move from Real Madrid.
