Ronaldo: Mourinho has apologised

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has personally apologised for reportedly criticising his upbringing.

Mourinho was quoted as describing the 22-year-old as "ill-educated, disrespectful and immature" after the Portugal international claimed the Stamford Bridge boss could never admit he made a mistake, however, the pair appear to have patched up their differences.

"Mourinho has apologised to me and now I have no problem with him," Ronaldo told the Daily Mirror. "I am pleased that this has happened. As far as I am concerned, the whole thing is now in the past."
