Rovers prop banned

Makali Aizue, the first player to be sent off in Super League this year, has been handed a three-match ban.

The 29-year-old Papua New Guinea forward, who was dismissed in Hull KR's 30-15 defeat at Wakefield on Sunday for a reckless high tackle on winger Paul White, was found guilty of the offence when he appeared before the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee.

Aizue, who was also fined £300, will miss Rovers' next three Super League matches, including the derby against Hull on July 8, although the club are thought to be considering appealing against the suspension.
