Schwarzer pens new deal

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has signed a new one-year deal which will keep him at Craven Cottage until 2011.

The 36-year-old Australia international joined the Cottagers on a two-year contract from Middlesbrough last summer and has been a great success.

The veteran was an ever-present in Roy Hodgson's side during his first year as they finished seventh in the Barclays Premier League to qualify for Europe.

Schwarzer's performances also earned him the club's player of the season award.
