Scolari thrown by Stoke's tactics

Scolari has spent more time analysing Stoke than he did Manchester United last week and it quickly became clear Chelsea had to develop a plan for Delap.
"It is not beautiful football but they make many goals with this situation. It is very effective and it causes big problems inside the box," said the Brazilian. "He is fantastic in that situation. I think he is better with his hands than with his feet."
He added: "They have made the pitch smaller because they are intelligent. I like this coach!
"It is dangerous because the ball does not fly into the box, it is direct. It is fantastic. I like this because it is different.
"I have never seen anything like it in my life. We need to think about how to control this situation and counter-attack.
"I have been thinking about it for the last three days and I have an idea which we have been working on."
Chelsea have had long-throw specialists of their own down the years, most notably Ian Hutchison, whose Wembley bomb teed up David Webb to score the winning goal in the 1970 FA Cup final.
"Maybe in the future we will need to have a coach for this - do some work on our arms," joked Scolari.
