Hampshire Police has released images of 16 men who are believed to have shouted the abuse at Portsmouth player Sol Campbell during a game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The photos show the suspects caught on camera by a police officer at the match at Fratton Park, Portsmouth on September 28.

On Thursday, a 36-year-old man from Wokingham, Surrey, and a 28-year-old man from Ringwood, Hampshire, who were arrested yesterday were bailed until January 21.

They were questioned on suspicion of indecent or racial chanting at a designated football match.

Now a further seven men have been identified and will be attending a police station in Hampshire to be questioned.

A police spokesman said: "Officers have received a steady stream of information and names.

"However, they are keen to stress that they would like to hear from anyone who recognises the remaining seven people."

The offence of indecent or racist chanting at a designated football match under the Football Offences Act 1991 can be punished by a fine of up to £1,000 and can also lead to a football banning order.
