SFA: No further action over drink saga

Rangers duo Ferguson and McGregor were punished for their behaviour while on international duty in the past fortnight, which saw them indulge in an early-hours drinking session before making V-signs at photographers upon being dropped by manager George Burley for last Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Iceland.
SFA vice-president Campbell Ogilvie said: "There will be no more action against any of the players. The board are happy with the way the manager handled the situation."
Four other players also stayed up drinking at the team hotel at Loch Lomond following the March 28 defeat in Holland - but they went to bed long before Ferguson and McGregor.
The saga was discussed at Thursday's SFA board meeting at Hampden - and as expected, it was decided no action would be taken against any other player.
Ogilvie added: "George Burley came in and gave us a report on what happened at Cameron House, in respect of the players leading up to the selection of the team for Wednesday night.
"A lot of the directors hadn't been party to a lot of that detail."
