Sharp hammers Giants critics

Centre Kevin Brown scored a hat-trick and was then sin-binned as the Giants ended their poor run in emphatic style against neighbours Wakefield to claim a 56-12 victory.
Now Sharp has lambasted people who have written the Giants off as relegation certainties, saying: "The players and I have been very upset by some of the things written about us."
He added: "We have been labelled as strugglers. But the confidence was there and we knew it was only a matter of time before somebody copped it.
"The focus is always on results. The players though have not done badly all year and have only been one score off in those seven games."
Under-pressure Sharp added: "I am not fearful of the sack. If I was, I would not be in this job."
The Wildcats have now lost 12 of their last 13 games against Huddersfield and Wakefield coach John Keir offered no excuses for a poor display. He said: "We are stunned and hurting.
"Huddersfield opened the game at a tremendous speed and we were never able to keep up. There are no excuses. We were very poor while Huddersfield were excellent.
"We have accepted the plaudits so far this season but today was a real kick in the shins. It will take time to lift the players for our game at Bradford on Monday. We made more mistakes in one half tonight than we have done in whole games before now."
