Simic tempted by Old Firm test

AC Milan defender Dario Simic insists the chance to play in an Old Firm derby would tempt him to snub a move to Galatasaray in favour of joining Celtic.

The 32-year-old Croatia international is set to leave the San Siro and has been made aware of the Parkhead side's interest.

"If I could choose, there is no doubt I'd prefer to join Celtic," Simic told the Daily Record. "They are a big club with an amazing football culture, and there is nothing more exciting than the prospect of playing in a Glasgow derby against Rangers."

He added: "I am talking about the situation to Milan and hoping a move can take place.

"My desire is to play outside of Italy next season.

"I've been here a very long time with Inter and AC Milan and I want to taste a new league."
