Smith fury over sending off

McCulloch was shown a red card as players from both sides clashed following a crude tackle from Aberdeen's Chris Clark on Alan Hutton following an earlier incident between the pair.
Smith said wryly: "I haven't seen the incident because I was standing next to the linesman. I also haven't seen it on the TV and the referee won't speak to me, so I don't know the reason why he was ordered off."
He added: "Lee said he raised his knee as the player was running across him to try and get out of the way. Whether that is the case, as I stressed before, I haven't seen it so I don't know.
"We had a situation where the two lots of players were together and that always happens here, so that wasn't unusual in its own.
"But what was unusual was the linesman running 60 or 70 yards.
"If he wants to be a referee then he should he should be a referee and not a linesman.
"If the referee is in a good position and deems it as okay, doesn't see anything and wants to play on, then he has to wait to restart the game until the linesman makes his way back.
"It will be interesting when I see it for myself, but overall I don't think that should take away from what was a really good performance by Rangers."
