Smith retains respect for Kiwis

Smith has made five changes, all of them through choice, to the side that thrashed the Kiwis 44-0 to establish an unassailable 2-0 lead in the Gillette Fusion Series - but he dismisses the notion that he is experimenting with his team.
"I think we're going to be up to 23 different players in the end, which shows a bit of depth," he said. "We changed the squad after the first week, and I've got no problem changing the squad again. I don't think I've weakened the team in any way, shape or form."
In giving a debut to Leeds back-row forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan, bringing back the young St Helens pair of James Roby and Jon Wilkin - who both played in the 20-14 first-Test win at Huddersfield - and recalling winger David Hodgson and centre Kirk Yeaman, Smith admits he has partially one eye on next year's World Cup.
"Competition is a great thing," he added.
"Some of the people I've not picked this week have played particularly well already, and I wouldn't mind finding out if there's some other people who can push them along or maybe even overtake them.
"I don't think that's an unhealthy thing to do. The people who get a chance this week have been in good form and they deserve their chance as well."
