Smith stars for Proteas

Graeme Smith starred as South Africa secured a seven-wicket victory against West Indies to square the three-Test series in Cape Town.

The captain smashed 85 and put on 57 with fellow opener AB de Villiers (23) before Hashim Amla (37), Jacques Kallis (22 not out) and Ashwell Prince (12no) saw the Proteas to their 185 target.

Injured Windies skipper Chris Gayle earlier hit 38 to help Shivnarine Chanderpaul (70no) make it a contest.

Both teams will now head to Durban for the series decider, which gets under way on Thursday.
