Spartans face Rovers test

Blyth Spartans set up an FA Cup third-round match against managerless Blackburn by beating League Two Bournemouth 1-0.

Substitute Ged Dalton headed the only goal of the game in the 89th minute to earn the Blue Square Conference North team a glamour tie against the Barclays Premier League outfit on January 5.

Floodlight failure denied Chesterfield in Tuesday's other second-round replay - they led another Conference North team, Droylsden, 2-0 with goals from Jack Lester and Darren Currie. But the lights went out with less than 20 minutes remaining - meaning Ipswich are still waiting to discover who they will face on January 3.
