Bent's arrival from Charlton was announced on Friday in a £16.5million deal while Wales left-back Bale joined earlier in a £10million deal from Southampton but there is more transfer activity tipped at Spurs before the start of the season, with boss Martin Jol looking to strengthen the left side of midfield.
Comolli said: "The two signings we've completed so far in Darren and Gareth Bale offer us massive improvement in terms of the squad, players with great potential whose best days are in front of them."
Auxerre defender Younes Kaboul is expected to be the next arrival following Bale and Bent.
Bent, 23, turned down a move to West Ham to sign for Spurs and, according to Friday's statement on the Stock Exchange, agreed a contract for "up to six years".
"He recognised we have a project here and as a player he wants to work with Martin Jol and showed that all the way," said Comolli.
Jol added: "Darren knows Spurs is the place to be and that's something to be proud of."
