The brothers take on Canada's Daniel Nestor and Frederick Niemeyer in the second match on court four, following a men's singles match which is scheduled to start at 1700 local time (1000 BST).

Nestor is ranked number one in the world in doubles, but usually plays with Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic with whom he won Wimbledon this year.

In the Olympics, doubles pairs must be from the same country which could give the Murray brothers an advantage given their experience of playing together.

"It helps that we've played a lot together and a lot of the other teams are scratch pairings," said Jamie, winner of the mixed doubles at Wimbledon in 2007 with Jelena Jankovic.

"And it obviously helps playing with Andy because he's playing some of the best tennis of his life."

Andy won his first Masters series title in Cincinnati on Sunday to reach a career-high sixth in the world.

The 21-year-old will begin his singles campaign against Chinese Taipei's world number 74 Lu Yen-Hsun on Monday.
