Sunderland open Sky coverage
09 January 2007
The match will be screened at 12.45pm on Saturday, August 11 and will be the first of 92 to be shown by the broadcaster during the campaign, their most ever.
Sky, who have been covering the Premier League since its inception in 1992, will show two more matches the following day as champions Manchester United take on Reading and Chelsea host Birmingham.
The first 33 matches of Sky's coverage for the campaign were announced on Monday morning.
Four match-ups between the top four from last season will be shown by early November.
Liverpool v Chelsea (August 19), Manchester United v Chelsea (September 23), Liverpool v Arsenal (October 28) and Arsenal v Manchester United (November 3) will all feature.
Sky will also be showing a number of major derbies including Manchester City v Manchester United (August 19), Everton v Liverpool (October 20), Sunderland v Newcastle (November 10) and Birmingham v Aston Vila (November 11).
Meanwhile, Setanta Sports will begin their Premier League coverage with Liverpool's trip to Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.
The Irish broadcaster, showing top-flight games for the first time, will largely specialise in matches on Saturday and Monday evenings.
Newcastle's clash with Aston Villa will follow on Saturday 18 with Everton against Blackburn a week after.
