Sykes in new Bulls deal

Bradford Bulls centre Paul Sykes has signed a new 12-month contract.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Bulls as a junior in 1998, has scored 23 tries and 19 goals in 46 appearances since re-joining the club from Harlequins at the start of last season.

"I always wanted to stay here and I am just glad it's now done and dusted," said Sykes, who was out of contract at the end of the season.

"I've enjoyed my time at Bradford and I'm settled at this club, so it's great to be able to sign for another year."

Bradford coach Steve McNamara added: "Paul's a very valuable member of our squad and the fact that he is a home-grown player meant it was important we kept him here."
