Terry aiming for Capello's first game

England captain John Terry is confident of being fit for the first game of Fabio Capello's reign.

The Chelsea skipper suffered three fractured bones in his foot during the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal last Sunday and the Blues medical staff revealed he would be out for a "minimum" of six weeks.

That would make it touch and go for him to be fit for Capello's opening match, a friendly against Switzerland at Wembley on February 6, but Terry is much more upbeat about his own powers of recovery and said: "I've broken the third metatarsal in my foot and reckon I'll be out four to six weeks."

Terry was unhappy with the challenge by Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue which left him injured.

"Tackles have to be made in this game, especially in a top-of-the-table clash like Sunday's at Arsenal, and I had to make the tackle on Eboue," he added.

"I felt he left his studs in there and it should have been a sending-off. I thought straight away I'd broken something, that's how it felt."
