Tevez ready to celebrate against Untied

Carlos Tevez has warned Manchester United there will be no repeat of Monday night's restrained goal celebrations should he ever score against them.

Tevez drew widespread praise for the almost apologetic way he acknowledged his first goal in Manchester City's 3-1 win over West Ham on Monday night. However, after the negative reaction he received at Old Trafford during the recent derby encounter, the South American admitted he holds no such affection for United.

"In the derby against United I had also decided not to celebrate our goals but, after the bad treatment I received from the supporters that day, I have changed my stance on that," he told the Daily Mail.

"If I score in the next derby then I am sure that I will celebrate."

But Tevez confirmed the Hammers, who he helped keep in the Premier League in 2007, will always hold a special place in his heart.

"I have decided not to celebrate my goals out of respect to West Ham," he added.

"They were my first club in England and, in my heart, part of me will always be a Hammer.

"The professional part of me was really pleased with my first City goals at home but, personally, I would have preferred to beat another club."
