Thomas set for injury lay-off

Thomas, part of Wales' RBS 6 Nations title and Grand Slam success last season, will undergo groin surgery on Friday.
He is likely to be sidelined for six weeks - meaning he will miss Wales' November appointments with South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
He must also sit out Ospreys' crucial Heineken Cup clash against Perpignan on Saturday, plus their final two EDF Energy Cup group games.
Thomas has won 46 caps and if fit would undoubtedly have been named in Wales coach Warren Gatland's autumn Test squad next Tuesday.
Ospreys physiotherapist Chris Towers said: "Jonathan has been suffering from a gradually worsening groin injury which, up until now, hasn't stopped him playing.
"Having assessed his condition on Wednesday, a decision was made to refer him to a specialist - who has identified the need for surgery.
"Jonathan will undergo an operation on Friday and is looking at a possible six-week lay-off."
Wales' only other injury absentee for this weekend's Cup action is Ospreys scrum-half Mike Phillips, who is continuing his recovery from a long-term knee problem.
