The Tigers were held to a thrilling 32-32 draw against the Ospreys last weekend in the Pool of Death.
But a hat-trick from Scott Hamilton as well as tries for Johne Murphy, Tom Croft, Lucas Amorosino and a penalty try handed the Tigers a safe passage in Northern Italy.
In Pool Two, Gloucester's Heineken Cup hopes were dealt a heavy blow following a 42-15 defeat against Biarritz Olympique.
Takudzwa Ngwenya scored a hat-trick as Biarritz ran in five tries to secure a bonus-point victory at Parc des Sports Aguilera.
Tom Voyce and Jake Boer both went over in the second half to save Gloucester from a humiliating scoreline, but further tries by Ayoola Erinle and Valentin Courrent ensured Biarritz were rarely troubled.
In the other early start Munster overcame a lacklustre first-half display to beat a battling Treviso 41-10, registering their first win in this season's Heineken Cup.
Thomond Park fell eerily quiet as Treviso took a 10-0 lead thanks to tries from Australian winger Brendan Williams and England Sevens captain Andy Vilk.
Munster hit back with tries from Paul Warwick and Ian Dowling to take a 12-10 interval lead and Tony McGahan's men pulled clear in the second half as Denis Leamy, Denis Fogarty, David Wallace, Ian Dowling and Jean de Villiers took the try tally to a flattering seven.
Harlequins' campaign is hanging by a thread after they squandered a 14-0 half-time lead at home to Toulouse and suffered a 23-19 defeat. Toulouse, second best for 40 minutes, go top of Pool Five after a bold fightback but Quins will be haunted by wasting chances to win it in the final quarter.
