Toopi absence extended

Leeds centre Clinton Toopi is unlikely to play again until late August after undergoing surgery on his shoulder.

The New Zealand international suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Carnegie World Club Challenge win over Melbourne at the end of February and underwent a reconstruction last weekend.

Leeds' head physiotherapist Meirion Jones said: "He has had the operation straight away and the surgeon is happy with how that went."

He added: "There was slightly more damage that we initially thought which has lengthened his rehabilitation slightly but we are confident of having Clinton back playing in the next five months."
