Toseland toasts triumph

British rider James Toseland hailed "the best championship" of his career after claiming his second World Superbike title in Magny-Cours.

The HANNspree Ten Kate man started the day's racing in pole position but despite falling in race one after coming together with Lorenzo Lanzi - and only mustering seventh and sixth place in the two races - he did just enough to get his hands on the trophy.

Toseland, who will compete in MotoGP next season, told British Eurosport 2: "It's the best championship I've ever ridden in. This is what I live for, this is the only thing that matters, getting this trophy."
